Come and meet our board\, our instructors\, and other French learners. Feel free to bring along your Francophile family or a friend. We are eager to meet you en présentiel. \nAs the above picture from our Bastille Day picnic shows\, there is something magical about finding community while embarking or re-embarking on a language learning journey. Let’s share this magic together! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are very Covid and safety conscious. Therefore\, we are hosting this first-in-two-years in-person Open House (Portes Ouvertes) in an outdoor area with easy parking and comfortable amenities (in case of rain)\, rather than our downtown office and small classrooms. Masks are encouraged indoors. With the A/C running\, we will also leave the doors to the pool deck open. \nTIME: Sunday\, August 28\, 5:30 – 7:30 pm (come at 5 pm if the pool tempts you!)\nADDRESS: 4500 Sherwood Trace\, Gainesville FL 32605\nREFRESHMENTS: Bring your own light supper if you want to stay a while\, and we will serve a taste of wine or a non-alcoholic beverage or chilled bottled water.\nDIRECTIONS:\nFrom NW 39th Ave\, turn north (at the traffic light) onto 24th Blvd. Go to NW 45th Ave (“The Lakes”) and turn left…\nOR\nFrom NW 53rd Ave\, turn south (no stop sign or traffic light) onto 24th Blvd. Go to NW 45th Ave (“The Lakes”) and turn right… \nOnce you turn onto NW 45th Avenue\, continue one block and take your first right (Sherwood Trace).   There will be a fork in the road with an arrow to the clubhouse. Circle around past the reserved spots (if you do not need accessibility) to more parking spaces beyond. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFall classes will start the week of September 12. All will begin via Zoom and can move to in-person by mutual agreement. \nRegistration is open now until September 9 (visit our site to register).
