Peggy Roach never really considered herself a true Francophile. Though she spent her Junior year of college studying abroad in the Loire Valley and in Paris, it was the lure of Francophone Africa that inspired her to learn French. After graduating, she spent four years in West Africa, first as a Peace Corps Volunteer, then as a teacher trainer. Her presentation will feature a visual tour of her time teaching math and computer literacy in Guinea and Senegal and traveling throughout West and East Africa.
